The painting is done from Baker Creek, which runs into the Bow River, between Banff and Lake Louise, Alberta. I have often stayed in one of the beatiful log chalets right alongside this serene mountain setting. As I post this, I'm getting ready to go there in a couple of days. It's a place I fell in love with the first time I came there over 20 years ago.

The serenity and solitude of nature defines the realistic art of Canadian born artist Jake Vandenbrink.
